“The Roma – Life and Health”. This project was financed by the Roma Programme of the Open Society Fund, 1997/1998.
“Clinically-epidemiology research of hereditary diseases among the various Roma groups”. This project was financed by the “Roma” Programme of the Open Society Fund, 1988/1999.
“Neuro-muscular diseases among Gypsies – from genetic epidemiology towards new nozological entities”. This project was financed by the Association Francaise contre les Myopathies, Paris, 1998-2000.
Health education and prevention of grave hereditary diseases among high-risk Roma groups”, financed by the Open Society Fund, 1999/2000
Regional and ethno-specific minorities’ health problems in Bulgaria”. The project was financed by the Medical Commission of the Open Society Fund, 2000-2001.
“Practical models of integration – from education towards ethnic-cultural dialogue and development”. The project was financed by the “Inter-ethnic Development Fund” Programme. 2000/2001. Joint project with Integro Foundation, village of Ognianovo, Gurmen Municipality.
“Equal access of chronically ill and handicapped Roma to health care and social services”. The project was financed by the Open Society Fund, 2001-2002.
“Introduction of the mediator system in the town of Kyustendil – a model for the improvement of the access of the Roma community to health care and social services”. The project was financed by “Partners-Bulgaria” Foundation and was implemented in a partnership with Nevo Drom Association, 2003-2004. As the most successful project, its was re-financed by “Partners&Bulgaria” Foundation, 2003-2004.
“Introduction of the mediator system in the town of Sandanski and Gurmen Municipality, Blagoevgrad Region – a model for the improvement of the access of the Roma community to health care and social services”. The project was financed by the Open Society Fund and was implemented in a partnership with Integro Foundation, village of Ognianovo, and Pirin-2000 Foundation, town of Sandanski, 2002-2003.
“Collection and phenotyping of a cohort of Roma families with epilepsy, suitable for genome analysis”. The project is financed by the “Scientific Research” National Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science, 2003-2006.
“Ensuring minorities access to health care”, within the PHARE Programme of the Ministry of Health Care in a consortium with The Open Society Institute, Sofia, the Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association, and the Balkan Foundation for Intercultural Education and Understanding “Diversity”, 2003-2004.
